Our work in the past decade has been in support of the Portola District, responding directly to our neighbor’s stated needs and desires for more green space, preserved history, and healthy food options.

2021
Negotiated a recorded property right for 770 Woolsey.
2017
Successfully shepherded a City Resolution committing to land acquisition for urban agriculture.

Completed a 770 Woolsey Historic Landmark Report.

Completed a feasibility study for an agricultural hub at 770 Woolsey.

Formalized partnership with Friends of 770 Woolsey, a neighborhood group organized around reactivation of 770 Woolsey as a community asset.

Prompted a City Resolution recognizing the Portola as SF’s Garden District.

Secured fiscal sponsorship by San Francisco Parks Alliance.

Published the Portola Green Plan, a long-range vision intended to increase opportunities for community engagement in the neighborhood.
2014
Initiated Portola Urban Greening (PUG), a group of neighborhood residents & stakeholders organized around the creation of community assets that promote ecological awareness and encourage neighbor engagement.

Co-wrote successful statewide legislation (AB551) that incentivizes property owners to support long-term agricultural activity on suitable urban land.
